small to med cuc's wash and slice in big gal jar -cover with water and 1/4 cup canning salt stir good leave in brine for a day or 2 stir now and then on day 2 make syrup: 2 cups sugar 1 cup vinegar 1 tsp celery seed bring to a boil and stir till sugar is dissolved take off and cool completly after the day 2 the pickles can be drained from the brine and set to drain well 15 min. then put them into 4 pt jars and cover with the cold syrup -scrap all the celery seed in too - wipe jars- add lids and put in your fridge ready to eat in 3-4 days
