when making home made brown sugar always have the molasses warm not cold out of the fridge use about 2 cups white sugar and 1 tablespoon molasses let the mixer run till it is all incorporated or use a spatula along side the bowl to mix it in by hand then run mixer again I like to use the whisp type attachment but the reg. one works too if you want really dark brown sugar you can add 2 T of molasses never run to the store again just make your own--love it.
